Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 April 2026
All Set is built to help you discover London set menus. We've designed it to collect as little personal information as possible. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account. This page explains what data the app does touch, why, and what choices you have.
The short version
- No account. No login. We don't know who you are.
- Your saved restaurants are stored only on your device.
- We use anonymous analytics (PostHog) only if you accept when prompted. You can change your mind any time in Settings.
- Location is used live, on your device, to show distance and "Near Me" results — never sent to us or stored.
What information the app collects
1. Saved restaurants
When you tap the heart on a restaurant, the restaurant's ID is saved to your device's local storage. This list never leaves your phone and is not visible to us. Deleting the app removes it.
2. Anonymous analytics (only with your consent)
On first launch the app asks whether we can collect anonymous usage analytics. If you accept, the app sends events to PostHog (an analytics service). The events tell us things like which restaurant pages are viewed, which filters are used, and how often the app is opened.
PostHog generates an anonymous device identifier — it does not include your name, email, phone number, or any account information, because the app has none. You can disable this any time from Settings → Anonymous analytics. When disabled, no events are sent.
3. Location (only if you grant permission)
The app asks the operating system for your location so it can show distances to restaurants and the "Near Me" category. Your coordinates are used in-app to calculate distances and are not transmitted to us or any third party. If you deny location permission, the app still works — you just won't see distances.
4. Crash and performance data
Apple and Google may collect crash and performance reports through the App Store and Play Store. These reports are governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies and we receive only anonymised, aggregated information.
Data we DON'T collect
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Payment or banking details (we don't take payments)
- Photos, contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera data
- Your device's address book or any other app's data
Third-party services
The app uses a small number of third parties to function:
- Google Places — provides restaurant ratings and photos. Image and rating requests are made from the app to Google. See Google's privacy policy.
- PostHog — anonymous analytics, only after consent. See PostHog's privacy policy.
- Booking platforms (SevenRooms, OpenTable, etc.) — when you tap "Book a table", you leave the app and visit the restaurant's booking page. Anything you do there is governed by that platform's own policy.
Children
All Set is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Turn analytics off: Settings → Anonymous analytics → toggle off. No more events will be sent.
- Revoke location permission: iOS → Settings → All Set → Location. Android → Settings → Apps → All Set → Permissions.
- Delete everything: uninstall the app. All locally stored data (saved restaurants, preferences) is removed.
- Request deletion of analytics events: email us at hello@allsetlondon.com and we will request PostHog erase the device identifier associated with your usage.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material — for example, adding a new third-party service or collecting a new type of data — we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. For significant changes you'll see a prompt in the app on next launch.
